Not Fade Away

Mmmkay, so the in-laws are in England, and the hubby and I are going to do a bit of traveling with them. I'm pretty excited. First off, VACATION! Who wouldn't be excited about some vaca-time? Secondly, my hubby's mom, stepdad, and two sisters are pretty darn awesome people, so I think we're going to have a pretty rad time with them.

So yup... I'm going to be uber busy, and away from my computer for about two weeks or so. We're going to start by going to Ireland. We're going to the West Coast, which I hear is REALLY beautiful, and we'll be staying the night in a castle. Then we'll be coming back home for about a day, before we head off on the big adventure. I'll try to post something when I get back home from Ireland, but I can't make any promises.

Anywho... we'll be heading to mainland europe, where we'll backpack around for a week or so. By backpack I mean, very little luggage, taking trains everywhere, and just winging it as far as where we'll sleep at night. My hubby's mom is the type of person who likes to have everything planned out, so we did a small amount of planning. We mainly just planned where we will take the trains to. Ha ha ha. Other than that, unless my hubby had more planning up his sleeve, we're just going to see what happens.

We'll be flying to Barcelona, then going up to Paris. Then we're heading to Amsterdam(I've just gotta check out the coffee shops there!), and swing over to Berlin, then down to Zurich, and then to Venice, and finally to Rome.

I'm pretty excited. I'll be sure to post lots of piccies and details about the trip as soon as I get back.

Yeah, already made a post today, but it's not a sin to post twice in one day(is it?). I just had to share my thoughts on a couple things.

First...

Rachel Denbow made this uber-cute dangly windchime thingy. It's so awesome that I want to attempt to make something like it. Though, I'm sure mine wont turn out nearly as nice as hers.

Second...

I've always wanted a polaroid camera... but for some reason now, I really WANT one - BAD!

Lastly...

My love of cats and pirates, and the need to finally paint on my mini canvas led me to Kitty with Skull Cross Bones. I like it. :) So does Sagey. :P

-o-o-o-o-o-

Yeah, just had to share.
I did this painting a little while ago for our living room. It's inspired by the Sanskrit symbols for Virtue, Reflection, Compassion, Ambition, and Desire.

This cat food bowl from Hiccup Gifts is uber-cute! If I were a cat, I'd sooo eat out of it. So, naturally, I want it for my own kitties to dine out of!

Who knew rubber ducks could be designer? Totally cute!

What can I say? It's just rad! Get it at Hiccup Gifts.

ModCloth had these really awesome cable knit arm warmers that I REALLY wanted for christmas. Sadly, they are no longer in stock there :( But I did find these super cute scrunch socks...

Who can resist the retro napkin holder?! Too funky!

Do I really need to explain why this is cool? Ha ha!

Seriously... who wouldn't want bacon on their boo-boo?!

Love love love me some Audrey!

Yes, yes... I'm a hopeless World of Warcraft geek. Ha ha! I usually play as Horde characters, but I have recently created an alliance Night Elf Druid. Mainly because I have a friend on that server, and because it's nice to take a break from the Horde quests and try something new. Not only that, but I'm not a fan of Taurens(sorry to my fellow hooved Hordies, I luv ya all), and I wanted to create a Druid. Only Taurens(horde) and Night Elves(alliance) can be Druids.

So, just recently I got my Night Elf Druid, Llynya, up to 20. Becoming level 20 for me was pretty much a big deal because then I could learn the ability to transform into a cat. And for those of you who know me, you know how much I LOVE cats.

Here are some pics of my character in her cat form...

Yay for kitties!!! I'm pretty excited to get to level 30, because then I get my travel form, which is another kitty - Cheeta!!! Woot!

I am totally digging Ingrid Michealson's music at the moment. I found this beautiful short film on Youtube, done to the song "Keep Breathing". For me, it's very moving, and inspiring.

I will admit, I have a Top Model addiction. I can't help it.

Tonight, I was extremely dissapointed(as I always am when my favorite girl gets sent home) that Lynzi Arnott was sent packing on Britain's Next Top Model. She has such a fresh, fun personality, and was a pleasure to watch(as I can imagine she was to work with). Lynzi, in my opinion, is one of the prettier girls. Perhaps her photos weren't as appealing as some of the others, but there were other girls who did worse than she did in this last photoshoot(again, in my opinion).

Mucho luv to you, Lynzi. You rawk!

On a completely different BNTM note, I do have to say that I love love LOVE the "Get the Look" feature they have on their website. {Clickey} Now I have an uncontrollable urge to mix 2 tsp of sugar and 2 tsp salt into water and spritz it into my hair. But that'll have to wait until another day. It's bed time.

There is nothing better than a bit of Spring Cleaning to kick one's butt into gear. I absolutly LOVE Spring Cleaning. It gives me a sense of accomplishment. It makes me feel organized, and that, in turn, makes me feel happy. Feeling happy makes me want to continue. Continue organizing and re-organizing. Continue accomplishing. Continue with projects that were shoved into the dark and forgotten about(until now).

The feeling of accomplishment allows one to set goals. Where as once there was a feeling that "Lifeismovingtoofastformetopayattention", there is now a sense of being in control. So goals can be looked at, and achieved... if they are not too extraordinary.

I spent time today, cleaning my computer area, and my computer. I stumbled upon old blogs of mine, and took the time to read them. As of late, I haven't blogged much. That's an understatement. I haven't blogged at all. My old blogs, the old old ones that were buried in the past and forgotten about, inspired me to start blogging again. I used to write nearly every day. I always had something to write about. I always found something on my mind.

My writing then was much more eloquent. In my opinion, at least. I wonder what caused me to forget about writing. Why haven't I continued to work on my literary skills? Why have I chosen to forget about something that I used to enjoy so much?

Perhaps because I felt like journaling wasn't achieving anything? But, as I sat and re-read many of my old blogs, I found an inner discovery, and an awareness of who I am. Or at least, who I was, and how much I have changed... developed... grown. That, like my spring cleaning, brought about the same sense of accomplishment.

Today I turn over a new leaf(as the expression goes). Today I plan on re-discovering myself, though art, through writing, through blogging, through any means neccisary. I'm sure it will be difficult, at first, to get back into the habbit of blogging every day. But I'm determined to do it.
